Rivio B2B Registration Forms is designed to work with Shopify themes, but sometimes a registration form may not display or work as expected because of theme settings, app blocks, or theme-specific configurations.
If your form is not displaying correctly, follow the steps below to identify and resolve common theme compatibility issues.
Check the Wholesale Form Block
The first step is to make sure the Wholesale Form block has been added correctly to your Shopify theme.
- Open your Shopify Admin.
- Go to Online Store → Themes.
- Click Customize on your active theme.
- Navigate to the page where you want to display the form.
- Click Add section or Add block.
- Select Apps.
- Choose Wholesale Form.
- Save your theme changes.
Check the Form Slug
The Wholesale Form block uses the Form Slug to determine which registration form should be displayed.
Make sure the slug entered in the Theme Editor exactly matches the slug of your published form in Rivio B2B Registration Forms.
For example:
wholesale-application
Check the slug from:
Rivio B2B Registration Forms → Forms → Your Form → Details
Then copy and paste the same slug into the Form Slug field in the Theme Editor.
Make Sure the Form Is Published
A form that is still in draft or inactive may not display on your storefront.
Go to Rivio B2B Registration Forms → Forms.
Open the form and make sure it is Active or published.
Check Theme App Block Support
Shopify themes use app blocks to add app functionality to storefront pages. If the Wholesale Form block is not available in your Theme Editor, make sure you are editing a compatible Online Store 2.0 theme.
If the app block is available but does not display correctly, remove and add the block again, then save the theme.
Check for Theme-Specific Styling
Some themes may apply their own styling to form elements. This can sometimes affect the appearance of your registration form.
For example, your theme may change:
- Font sizes
- Button styles
- Input spacing
- Field widths
- Colors
- Form alignment
If the form is displayed but looks different from the app preview, compare it with your theme's existing form styles.
Check for Conflicts with Other Apps
Other apps installed on your Shopify store may also modify forms, buttons, or page elements. In some cases, this can affect how the registration form appears or behaves.
If you recently installed another app and the form stopped working correctly, check whether the issue started after that installation.
Test the Form on Your Storefront
After making changes:
- Save the Theme Editor changes.
- Open your storefront.
- Navigate to the page containing the registration form.
- Refresh the page.
- Check that all fields, buttons, and sections are displayed correctly.
- Submit a test application if possible.
Testing the form helps confirm that the issue has been resolved.
Try Removing and Re-adding the Form Block
If the form still does not display correctly, try removing the Wholesale Form block from the page and adding it again.
After adding the block:
- Select the correct form.
- Check the Form Slug.
- Save the theme.
- Refresh your storefront.
This can resolve issues caused by an incorrectly configured app block.
When to Contact Support
If you have checked the theme settings, form status, and Form Slug but the issue continues, contact the Rivio B2B Registration Forms support team.
When contacting support, provide:
- Your Shopify store URL
- The name of the affected form
- The page where the form is displayed
- A description of the issue
- Screenshots or a screen recording, if available
This information can help the support team understand and troubleshoot the issue more quickly.
Summary
Most theme compatibility issues can be resolved by checking the Wholesale Form app block, confirming the Form Slug, ensuring the form is published, and checking for conflicts with other apps or theme settings.
If the form is still not working after these checks, contact support with the relevant details so the issue can be investigated further.
