Address Field Issues

If customers are having trouble completing or submitting an Address Field in your registration form, the issue may be related to required fields, incomplete address information, validation, or form configuration.

Follow the steps below to identify and resolve common address field issues.

Check the Address Field Settings

First, make sure the Address Field is correctly configured in your form.

  1. Open Rivio B2B Registration Forms from your Shopify Admin.
  2. Go to Forms.
  3. Open the form containing the Address Field.
  4. Select the Address Field.
  5. Review the field settings.
  6. Make sure the field is configured as expected.
  7. Save the form.

Check Required Address Information

If the Address Field is marked as Required, customers must provide the required address information before submitting the form.

Ask the customer to check that all required address details have been entered, such as:

  • Address
  • City
  • State or Province
  • ZIP or Postal Code
  • Country

If any required information is missing, the form may prevent submission.

Check Address Validation

Make sure the information entered in the address fields is valid.

For example:

  • The ZIP or postal code should be entered in the correct format.
  • The country should be selected correctly.
  • The state or province should match the selected country.
  • Required address fields should not be left empty.

If a validation message appears, correct the information and try submitting the form again.

Check the Country and State Selection

If your Address Field includes Country and State/Province selections, make sure the customer selects the correct country first.

The available state or province options may depend on the selected country.

Ask the customer to:

  1. Select the correct country.
  2. Select the appropriate state or province.
  3. Enter the remaining address information.
  4. Try submitting the form again.

Check the Postal Code

A postal code may have different formats depending on the customer's country.

If the postal code is rejected, make sure the customer is entering it correctly and without unnecessary spaces or characters.

Check the Live Form

If the Address Field works correctly in the form editor but not on your storefront, test the live form.

Check that:

  • The correct form is published.
  • The Address Field is visible.
  • Required fields are displayed correctly.
  • Country and state options work correctly.
  • Validation messages appear as expected.
  • The form can be submitted with valid address information.

Check for Theme or App Conflicts

Your Shopify theme or another installed app may affect how address fields behave on your storefront.

If the issue started after a theme update or app installation, check whether the change may be affecting the form.

Also check whether custom scripts or code have been added to the page that contains the registration form.

Try Another Browser

If the issue affects only one customer, ask them to try:

  1. Refreshing the page.
  2. Using another browser.
  3. Clearing their browser cache.
  4. Trying the form from another device.

This can help determine whether the problem is browser-specific.

Contact Support

If the Address Field still does not work after checking the above settings, contact the Rivio B2B Registration Forms support team.

Provide:

  • Your Shopify store URL
  • The affected form name
  • Details about the Address Field
  • The country where the issue occurs
  • The exact error or validation message
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if available

This information can help the support team investigate the issue more quickly.

Summary

Most Address Field issues can be resolved by checking the field settings, required address information, country and state selections, and postal code format.

If the issue continues, test the form on another browser or device and check for possible theme or app conflicts. If you still need help, contact support with the relevant details.
