Rivio B2B Registration Forms can automatically create a Shopify Company when a business application is approved. If the company is not created after approval, the issue may be related to company creation settings, the approval workflow, or missing business information.
Follow the steps below to identify and resolve common company creation issues.
Check Company Creation Settings
First, make sure automatic Shopify Company creation is enabled.
- Open Rivio B2B Registration Forms from your Shopify Admin.
- Go to Settings.
- Find the Shopify Company or company creation settings.
- Make sure Create Shopify Company Automatically is enabled.
- Save the settings if you make any changes.
This allows the app to create a Shopify Company when the application meets the configured approval conditions.
Make Sure the Application Is Approved
Company creation may be triggered when an application is approved.
To check the application:
- Go to Submissions.
- Find the relevant business application.
- Open the application.
- Check its status.
- Make sure the application has been Approved.
If the application is still Pending or has been Rejected, the Shopify Company may not be created.
Check the Company Information
A company application should contain the business information required to create a Shopify Company.
Review the submitted application and make sure important information is available, such as:
- Company name
- Business email
- Contact person's name
- Phone number
- Business address
- Other required company information
Missing or invalid information may prevent the company from being created correctly.
Check the Company Name
Make sure the submitted Company Name is entered correctly.
If the company name is missing or contains unexpected information, review the application before approving it.
A clear and valid company name helps ensure that the Shopify Company is created with the correct business information.
Check the Approval Workflow
If you are using Auto-approve rules, review the rules configured for the form.
Make sure the application is being approved according to your configured conditions.
For manual approval, confirm that you have selected Approve for the application.
Check Shopify Companies
The company may already exist in your Shopify store.
Go to:
Shopify Admin → Customers → Companies
Search for the submitted company name and check whether a company record already exists.
If the company already exists, a new company record may not be created.
Check the Company After Approval
After approving the application, check your Shopify admin to confirm whether the company has been created.
Go to:
Shopify Admin → Customers → Companies
Search using the company name from the submitted application.
If the application shows as Approved but the company cannot be found, continue with the troubleshooting steps below.
Test With a New Application
To determine whether the issue affects one application or the entire company creation process, submit a new test application.
- Submit a new application with different company information.
- Approve the application.
- Go to Shopify Admin → Customers → Companies.
- Search for the test company.
- Check whether the company was created.
If the test company is created successfully, the issue may be related to the original application's information or an existing company record.
Check the Store's Shopify Plan and Features
Shopify B2B and company-related features can depend on the Shopify plan and configuration of the store.
Make sure your store has access to the Shopify B2B company functionality required by the app.
If you are unsure whether your store supports the required functionality, check your Shopify plan and B2B settings.
Contact Support
If the Shopify Company is still not created after checking the above settings, contact the Rivio B2B Registration Forms support team.
Provide:
- Your Shopify store URL
- The affected application
- The company name submitted
- The application's status
- Whether automatic company creation is enabled
- A screenshot of the application, if available
- Any error message displayed
This information can help the support team investigate the issue more quickly.
Summary
If a Shopify Company is not created, first make sure automatic company creation is enabled and that the application has been approved. Then check the company information, company name, approval workflow, and existing Shopify Companies.
If the issue continues, test the process with a new application and verify that your store supports the required Shopify B2B company functionality. If you still need help, contact support with the relevant details.
