Rivio B2B Registration Forms includes anti-spam protection to help reduce unwanted or automated submissions. By enabling reCAPTCHA on your registration forms, you can add an extra layer of protection against spam registrations.
Enable reCAPTCHA
To help prevent spam registrations:
- Open Rivio B2B Registration Forms from your Shopify Admin.
- Go to Forms.
- Open the form you want to protect.
- Scroll to the Anti-spam section.
- Enable Enable reCAPTCHA on this form.
- Make sure your reCAPTCHA keys are configured in the app settings.
Once configured, reCAPTCHA can help identify automated submissions before they are submitted through your form.
Configure reCAPTCHA Keys
Before enabling reCAPTCHA, make sure the required reCAPTCHA keys have been added in the app settings.
If the keys are not configured, the app will display a warning that the form will not show a reCAPTCHA challenge.
Use the Add them in app settings option to configure the required keys.
Review Suspicious Submissions
Even with anti-spam protection enabled, it is a good practice to review your submissions regularly.
From the Submissions section, you can review applications and use the Spam status to identify submissions that have been marked as spam.
You can also review pending applications before approving them to make sure the submitted information appears genuine.
Why Prevent Spam Registrations?
Preventing spam registrations helps you:
- Reduce unwanted applications.
- Keep your submissions list organized.
- Spend less time reviewing automated submissions.
- Protect your registration forms from bots.
- Focus on genuine business applications.
Best Practice
For publicly available registration forms, we recommend enabling reCAPTCHA and keeping your reCAPTCHA keys properly configured. Regularly reviewing submissions can also help you identify suspicious applications.
Summary
The Preventing Spam Registrations feature helps protect your registration forms from unwanted and automated submissions. Enable reCAPTCHA from the form's Anti-spam section, configure the required keys in the app settings, and regularly review submissions to keep your application list clean and manageable.
