Rejecting Applications

With Rivio B2B Registration Forms, you can reject a wholesale or B2B application when the applicant does not meet your business requirements. You can also provide a reason for the rejection, which can be sent to the applicant.

Step 1: Open the Application

  1. Open Rivio B2B Registration Forms in your Shopify Admin.
  2. Go to Submissions.
  3. Open the application you want to review.
  4. Check the applicant's business and contact information.

Before rejecting an application, review the submitted details carefully to make sure the applicant does not meet your requirements.

Step 2: Add a Rejection Reason

In the Review section, find the Reason (sent to applicant) field.

Enter a clear reason explaining why the application cannot be approved.

For example:

Thank you for your application. We are unable to approve your wholesale account because the required business documentation was not provided.

Providing a clear reason helps the applicant understand the decision.

Step 3: Reject the Application

After entering the rejection reason:

  1. Review the reason to make sure it is clear and accurate.
  2. Click Reject.
  3. The application will be marked as Rejected.

The rejection reason can be sent to the applicant, so avoid adding private or internal information in this field.

What Happens After Rejection?

Once an application is rejected:

  • The submission status changes to Rejected.
  • The application remains available in your submissions.
  • You can review the application details again if needed.
  • The applicant can receive the rejection reason you provided.

Tip: Use the Reason (sent to applicant) field for a short, professional explanation. Keep private comments or team notes in the Internal Note field instead.
